Director's Message

Fr. John Chiman

From the Director's Desk

It is my honor and privilege to release this annual report of Meerut Seva Samaj for the year 2021-2022. From its inception to date, Meerut Seva Samaj has always toiled hard to bring transformation in the life of the marginalized, poor and the weaker section of the society.

MSS has undertaken several activities to dispel the darkness from the society, by promoting education, health and hygiene, gender equality, capacity building, and livelihood promotion through sustainable agricultural development and income generation activities. MSS’ activities are strengthened by like-minded people and organizations to face the post-pandemic challenges.

I would like to mention special thanks to all the donor agencies for their financial support in delivering the project activities within the timeframe.  Our partners, Caritas India, Manos Unidas, UKSVK, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Misereor, and Missio, are our building blocks in our development journey. I also acknowledge the support rendered by the local administration and governing body members for timely guidance for the systematic function of the MSS and the entire MSS team for being the bedrock to implement all the activities to concretize the mission and vision of the MSS.

A special word of appreciation and gratitude to Rt. Rev. Francis Kalist, our president, who served this institution for the last thirteen years, is transferred to the Archdiocese of Pondicherry and Cuddalore. Meerut Seva Samaj is deeply indebted to Rt. Rev. Francis Kalist, for being the guide and the priceless services rendered to uphold the MSS mission and vision a relevant reality in this fast-changing world. We express our sincere gratitude and love and prayerful accompaniment in the days ahead.
